How To Blog

This course covers everything I know about blogging. I have used the latest version of WordPress (5.6). However, all of sections 1-3 relate to anyone regardless of what platform you use. No previous knowledge is required.

Duration:  4 hours

Level: Beginner – Intermediate

1. Understand: We talk about the value of blogging as a means of communicating and connecting with your audience. We also look at all the important considerations for you to make when approaching posting content. I explain Google Searches and SEO in very user friendly, non-technical language.

2. Create: In this section we talk about the different kinds of content you can share and how to find topics for you to share. I’ve included a downloadable PDF of content suggestions as well.

3. Prepare: Before you can publish your post, we need source images and prepare your text and any other content. I explain where you can find images to use and all the steps you need to follow to get your content ready to post.

4. Publish: We learn how to publish a blog post! I go through the process slowly and with detailed explanations, and I’ve done a second video with a quick, real-time version for those times you need to just pop in to remind yourself quickly. I also show you some nifty new content modules and how to make your blog posts really beautiful.

Owner & Educator, Kokoro

Hello friends.

I have started this online learning platform for you darlings. Over the last 5 years or more, I’ve watched more and more of my friends move into self-employment, just as I did in 2014. I love that, I truly believe that small businesses can change the world for the better, by improving our local communities and therefore, the larger economic landscape.

To be honest, I didn’t really feel like the world needed another online educator, but I had the time and the skills to put this together and I really just wanted to be able to help you and answer all the questions I get asked quite frequently.

I’ve tried to make my content easily understood by the complete beginner, but still provide enriching content and knowledge so that you can understand the “why” as well as the “how”.

I’m not so much an expert, as an experienced friend.

Please do me a huge favour and let me know your comments, feedback and suggestions for further topics. I will do my best create content that is useful to you, if it’s within my range of expertise.

I’m also holding a free Monthly Zoom Support Circle for anyone enrolled on the course(s) to give you an opportunity ask me any burning questions or to chat. We can exchange advice, ideas and tips we’ve picked up recently. You can find the details on the Support page.

Anyway, hope this is useful. May the force be with you. xx
